    MTX200 Stands

    This is for you Johnaec.

You said you were interested in making up a pair of MTX200 stands to suit your XPL-200 speakers and I know you've asked for pics and measurements a long time ago but here's what I got so far.

And for anyone else that may wish attempt to make up a pair similar to those of the MTX200's.

I managed to buy a set of MTX200 stands boxed, new and unopended on e-bay a couple of years ago. Lucky to have scored these when I did. I think I paid around USD$125 to buy the stands and have them shipped over to me in OZ. Not bad I thought.

Once I received 200's late last year, I opened up all my goodies at once (eg: the stands and DX-1's as well).

The upside is that I took a pile of photos of the stands but the downside is that I forgot to take measurements of all the bits upon assembly.

Not to worry. I'll post the pics and then go about posting the measurements.

Thanks! At this point, it's more the measurements I'm interested in, (just global outside dimensions). There's no way I could build stands that look like those, but I'd like to at least build something that positions the cabinets at the same place.

I figured that and that's ok John.

I thought the pictures would be helpful to those who've never seen the stands for the XPL-200's before as well as to provide an insight as to what they look like up close and personal so people can follow and make their own version.

I'll start measuring over the next few days and will post later this week.

    Cheers
