I have an oppurtunity to purchase some older Altec's but we don't know what model they are. The guy say's the cabinet's have 2 12" woofers and 1 8" horn. Anyone know the model of these? He also say's they are for p.a. use .Are they worth $300.00. I am trying to get driver model's from this guy. Have to wait and see what he writes back. Sorry no pictures. Thanks!
I just got an email back from a lady who said her husband got these from a radio station he worked at years ago and the cabinets are painted all black. Sorry,not much to go on.What do you think?
Sounds like they could be 9844As. These used dual 414 woofers and 811B horn with small format 806A compression driver. If so, they would easily be worth more than $300 if in decent shape.
