    120ti questions

I picked up a set of 120ti's yesterday and plugged 'em in. Now it may just be that I'm comparing them to some L100t3's, but the LF response seemed to be lacking. The surrounds ARE starting to go and honestly it looks like the LF drivers have taken a bit of a beating in their day. Can anyone who has heard both sets tell me how the bass really compaired?

Also, does anyone know a power rating for the 120ti? They look very similar to the L100's/4311's/etc - would the grilles from any other model work for these (as I have none)? Thanks,

    Chris

The closest other model would be the 4412 Studio monitor.

The 120ti shares the same 128H-1 woofer with the 4412 and is in every way better sonically than the speakers you mention.

The 128H-1 is still reconable with a factory kit, C8R128H-1.

The 120ti is a gorgeous speaker system that deserves loving care.

Having both the 4412 and the 120ti, and given my living room and speaker placement, I find the 120ti superior, but just barely (your results and mileage may vary).

I have the 120 for rear surround w/250ti up front. when playing all stereo they seem to have more bass then the 250 but room factor is most likely involved. Still that says a lot to me...
