    Surround maintenance question

Anyone ever thought of using Armorall on foam speaker surrounds exposed to UV light. It is suppose to work on my car dash to keep it from rotting over time.

    Any thoughts

Yeah....don't. It can get under the adhesive and debond it from the cone and the frame.

I've found that armor-all just attracts more dirt and makes things slimy.

The only thing that is useful for sealing foam surrounds is a very flexible formulation of PVA. It's been used by many different mfgs to seal and reinforce foam....Electro-Voice and Gale to name a couple.
