The front and rear baffles are recessed a hair over 1/2". I would assume 1" for the front baffle because 3/4" leaves little to work with to support the beastly 2206 after being partially...
I happen to have a 4646A here next to the computer...
Ports are about 3" diameter x 5 7/8" long. I say about since there is a trim ring to make it look pretty that is closer to 2.75" diameter and...
Post # 405 in the Project M2 DIY Thread features a build constructed via CNC machining and 3D printing of the ports. If you could get a copy of the files it would be nearly trivial for a CNC shop to...
The drivers for the surrounds are jammed in the smallest cabinet possible. The proverbial 6 pounds in a 5 pound bag.
What are the port dimensions and/or tuning?
Awesome work. Now I have a case of tablesaw envy :(
I used one of the 2245 kits from mackenzie for the sub I built for my brother about two years ago. It did not have the aquaplas on the cone and did not appear to weigh enough to meet the JBL...

Sweet! They look a lot like mine :)
No need to tweet DJT. Just convince 320,000,000 of your neighbors to spend more (or profit less) and the problem will be taken care of.
Member GordonW is in your area and, based on my experience, does fine work at reasonable prices. I would suggest you start there.
Good luck!
Not exactly. The M2 port is curved or tapered and is likely a custom JBL part. See post # 842 in this thread for a photo.
I believe POS was giving the dimensions for straight 3" port with flared...
Or check the price of the D2 again.
They have been in the past. Call and find out.

Any other JBL repair shop should be able to tell you the same.
Looks like a Rock & Roll machine :bouncy:
I didn't even think about that. Good thing it should fit. I think I know what my christmas present will be.
Higher output 20-50Hz at lower distortion would be the goal. I expect to lose efficiency.
I love my B460 with the 2245. However, I can't help but wonder if dropping in a new driver would improve the performance....not that the 2245 has any problem rattling the windows. This really is...
Where's the popcorn?
A couple kilowatts of subwoofage will knock you out of your seat ;)
Cost no object I would go for the JBL SUB18 (or two :bouncy:)...
I would be all over these if I had somewhere to put them or "needed" them. They would make a really nifty early Christmas present for the right person.
That went pretty quick! Nice work :D
I think a Paragon would make a really cool looking stand for a giant (>70") HDTV. No need for a center channel ;)
I suspect I may be the only one the feels that way.
Good luck with the...
Perhaps a more direct method would be to ask for a component parts list from an experienced builder?
Good luck with the rebuild!
