The cone profiles are not the same...so no. The voice coils are also different.

The discrepancy could be corrosion on the diaphragm terminals.

136HS recone kit, SFG motor, is not compatible with 2226/1500GTI, VGC, frame/motor. That said...

It's possible to make a reproduction recone kit that can make your 2226...

Look at the Thiel/Small chart and find the power rating, Pe. JBL recommends in the Tech Note, "Danger Low Power", to have amplifiers with 6dB headroom...or Four times the power rating of the speaker....
