Has anyone heard the newest Diana Krall album yet? It's called From This Moment On. It's really a great album and meticulously mixed and mastered as usaul. Definitely worth taking a listen to.

Another great classical recording is Mozart's Concertos for Two & Three Pianos by Sony Classical.
epoxy usually works very well for bonding metal.
Awesome idea... didn't think of that!
You will probably need the soft start... that's a huge cap bank and inrush current will be CRAZY!
BTW that's one hell of a power supply you got there! :D
A friend of mine has those same speakers. I was thinking to myself how crappy they would sound (kinda looks like they belong in a church or my grandma's house or something)... until he fired them up....
Forgot to explain how the circuit works. :o: Momentary pushbutton starts sequence on first button push. Switch is debounced so logic circuit doesn't get confused when contacts of switch bounce....
ok here's the schematic: http://www.mts.net/~rohuly/sequencer.gif
I'll post the schematic for the relay board once I finish drawing it (tomorrow).
I've got some panel mount LEDs and snap-in outlets for the rear... the remote turn-on and especially the circuit breaker are excellent ideas! Didn't see your comment about surplus chassis till i...
I've been looking around at enclosures on the internet and can't seem to find a single space chassis that's under $75. For a circuit that cost around $40 to make it almost seems like a waste of...
My Rane crossover has an 18db/octave high pass at 20Hz built in! How perfect is that? :D Guess that's one less thing to worry about.
As for your comment about bass response... I may be young, but...
Just finished designing/prototyping a quick and dirty power sequencer for the home theater. Ended up costing about $40 vs $350 for the furman ps-8r. It has 4 switched outlets w/ a 5s delay between...
Another question... How far from the center of the me150 should the horn be mounted? Am I safe to assume that closer is better?
After some more reading I'm thinking a high-pass filter will be needed for these boxes. The low-end roll-off looks a bit steep and I'm starting to worry about overexcursion. Just wondering if I...
If you do a bit of hunting around on the 'net you'll find that the Behringer is almost an IDENTICAL copy of the QSC RMX series. Talk about reverse engineering. ;)
will do!
I'm gonna keep my eye out for 2 used 2426Hs that I can afford... I'm a student and have a VERY limited budget so new ones, and 2435s, are pretty much out of the question at the moment.:( But in the...
Ah yes... I see. :banghead: Crap!
And hopefully that nasty breakup of the CD is from the horn it was on. ;)
Isn't there a board that separates the bottom portion of the box form the top, making it into 2 separate encolsures? I think Mathias called it a "plate" when he was making his S2600 copy. Even if...
Since I posted my last reply I plugged the numbers for both the ME150H and the 1500AL into bassbox and did some playing around. Not as hard as I was expecting! A volume of around 4 - 4.5 cu ft tuned...
I found Earl's post VERY helpful, but like I said earlier I have pretty much ZERO experience using box design software. I just thought that if if the S3100s sound really good, then why not use the...
It's taken a while but things are finally starting to come together. I got my hands on two 1.5" throat B&C compression drivers (DE700) from a friend. (I know... not JBL :o:) Here's a link to the spec...
This is definitely a tube amp-related problem. Sounds like screen resistor(s) to me. Had this happen on one of my tube guitar amps. Eventually the plate on one tube started to glow bright red......
Thanks for the great info!
I did a bit of hunting around since I posted my first message and I realize that my "budget" is a bit unreasonable. I do want these to sound as good as possible and I'd...
I have a pair of brand new ME150H drivers that have been sitting in a closet for the past 2 years, which is a shame since these are such great speakers. I plan on building cabinets for them over the...
