Hello
For starters take out the woofer and find the location of the network. If it is like a 4311 there should be a box where the speaker leads go with a harness to the pot's. I think 4 screws on...
it is stock my drivers have them as well
Rob :)
If you could find a pair of 2427 they were 2426 with a 2" throat. I would drop a pair of 2450's with sl diaphrams on them
Have fun!

I'm a dinosaur I still believe in Hi-Fi definitely not into euphoric sound. I want what's on the recording and I know my system is correct when every track is different. When I can hear the track to...
Anyone else see this?? I don't get it there very well may not be an analog master tape been recording in digital since the 80's

Yes that's it. I think there is a VLF high pass in there to sharpen the knee and give subsonic protection bellow 20Hz. Can't find any info though.

As Mr. Widget replied that is the filter used in the BX-63 and that can easily be duplicated using DSP. I have a crown amp for my HT subs and use the exact same filter using DSP.
If you are using...
Probably was faded so for cosmetics they painted it. Obvious in the photo's just look at the gasket.

Here give this a read. Bottom line you should really try to hear them for yourself.

Hello Ian
Interesting points. I am a frequent concert attendant averaging between about 70 shows a year pre-pandemic. And as you know I enjoy listening at home as well. I see them as two very...
I think it has morphed into HT. Any of my friends if they have anything at all it tends to be visual media integrated. You can paly anything on an HT system can't say that for strictly stereo system....
Do the crowns have DSP?? If they do you could build or purchase a B380. That's a single 2235 in 4.5?? Cubic ft tuned to 26 Hz. You would need a BX-63 to add the +6Db Q2 boost filter or use DSP in the...
Just add it was used in the 4325 monitor also short lived.

This is an 8 ohm vs 16 ohm driver. 2453HSL 8 and a 476Mg 16. If you compare them to the last plot of the driver measured on the horn you can clearly see it compares more closely to the 16 Ohm driver...
Look here last page. The Imp is definitely 16 ohms nominal so an 8 won't work. You need a D16R2450SL or equivalent.

Hello Barry
I think you hit the nail on the head.
That is an open invitation from the OP for any and all suggestions. That means any member of the forum who has a suggestion is welcome to post....
Sounds like you have 2344's which were 2 pieces. The 2344A was one piece. Those are 2342 little brother used in the 2425
Rob :)
Great thanks your right I did forget. Wish there were more like you out there.

Hello Edgewound
Depends doesn't it?? I have never seen measured T/S or Frequency response plots to verify performance of these prepackaged after market kit sold on the internet or elsewhere. Maybe...
Hello
It helps but I would wonder if it would be worth it to over stuff. No matter what you can't have the stuffing interfere with the vent/vents. Even if you model a larger box @ 30Hz you are...
Hello
I would download WinIsd link attached. Unfortunately they don't have the T/S driver parameters for the D-140 so I used the E which should be similar. Here is a screen shot in 2.6 vs 5.2...
Look Great!!!

Hello David
How many years have you had the 4430's? Sounds like you have a "house sound" that you are used to. If you have it I would give the 4429's some more time. I would also experiment...
