I'm very familiar with Array 1400s and believe them to be the best sounding speakers JBL ever made, but I simply don't have room for them in my current listening room. I'm extremely happy with my DIY...
I went ahead put the speaker together with a DIY N2400 and it sounds OK with the L-Pad maxed out some treble boost so I guess I'll just live with it.
I picked up a 2402 to upgrade my extremely early (D123 S/n 511) C38 and it works, but the output is extremely low. It measures about 6.5 ohms. I took it apart and all looked good, I swapped in a...
What do the little x's and the dotted lines mean in this schematic? I know how to read a schematic but this one confuses me.
I'm looking for an 075 "Bullet" for my C38 and came across this "all original" pair on the auction site. I wonder how they measure.
I have one of these, assuming the mid is the 80M. Great speaker.
Don't. Save up for something better. Those speakers hurt my ears.
Silly question. Does a perfectly set up M2, which I've never heard, do a a more realistic human voice than a 1400 Array? That's all I care about.
Are those Mininus 7s? I love Minimums 7s. That's what I listen to in the kitchen. When in doubt, don't do anything.
It's been eight years so I hope he's shipped them by now. Whatever you do, avoid ShipSmart like the plague. I'm still a fan of Uship. I've used them several times since my 2014 post and have never...
I've bought several pairs over the years and the most I've paid is $1,000. I love mine but they've been upgraded.
I found dog food kibbles inside a pair of Sonus Faber Cremonas. The PO keep dog food out and told me he had a problem with squirrels.
I can't find any useful info on the Synthesis Two Sub (not EX) or its big brother the One. The EX uses the W1500H but i can't find out what's in the previous generation, which features a pleated...
My guess is file drawers filled with CDs.
Nice and inexpensive don't usually go together. The Dayton kits from Parts Express are a good value and easy (and fun for some people) to put together.
Splotches and all, but hey, whaddayawant for only nine G's?
My living room Quad 63's are arcing so I moved the 200's up there during the repair and while they're a little brash looking, they sound great without my subs and at lower levels than I use in the...
No comment, but I hope GT never sees these.
I have a DCX 2496 that can do all that and I have triamped L300s with DSP in the past with great results, but these are for a buddy that wanted something simple. Stock L300s sound excellent to me....
Just a quick addendum. These speakers no longer have the stock NP crossover. See this thread: http://www.audioheritage.org/vbulletin/showthread.php?39282-L300-xo-4313b-vs-np
I went with the Nelson Pass but after extensive listening and measurement I flipped the phase of the mid driver back to where it was in the original JBL design. His other changes to the woofer/mid...
Thanks. That's what I was looking for.
Thank you. I'm sure they would look even better with 2405's, but the customer I built these for didn't want to spring for a pair. I'm going to miss these.
I must be psychic!
Hmm, something like this? Pushing the baffle out gives you an increase in internal volume you could use for the 2121 cabinet, and there is room on the baffle. Interesting...
