Help with crossovers

Happy new year folks.

I am in the process of building two four-way systems. One is a pair of studio monitors consisting of 2405, 2426J w/ 2344a, 2123H and 2235H. The other is a "practice PA/friggin loud" system with 2404H, 2425J w/2344, 2206H and EVM15L. I have the ability to quad-amp one system (Bryston 2B, 3B, and 2x4B using Ashly active 4-way stereo) but I'd like to use passive crossovers for the other. Probably the studio monitors would employ the active crossover system and amps, the practice PA, the passive.

The issue is that while I can keep all ten digits in the woodworking shop and actually build decent cabinets, I'm a danger to myself and others with a soldering iron. I did enquire online to an enthusiast from another site who offered to build a pair of "charge coupled" crossovers for $700. I'm sure they would be the most amazing crossovers but I can't justify that kind of dough for a practice PA. I was hoping that perhaps a member who has much more knowledge in these matters than me (which wouldn't take much), could either build a pair for me (for a fee, of course) or walk me through the process in such a way as to be "fool with solder" proof.

My backup plan is to use two 3105's, two 3120's and an active Ashly 1001 crossover (plus L-pads on the 2404 and 2526J) as "networks".

Any suggestions? If the backup plan is going to be as good as anything short of the $700, then that would be good to know too. Given their function, they don't have to be superlative.

If you're intent on going with passive crossovers, ('definitely keeps the amp cost down!), I'd consider the Ashly XR4001 or older XR4000. They're both 2-in 4-out so they'd cover the ranges you'll need. You have to watch and be ready to jump, though - I recently got a mint XR4001 on eBay for $150 - new, they go for about $425 each. Used, they're often in the $200 - $250 range.

BTW - I mentioned a charge coupled crossover in my original post. These don't need to be charge coupled. I'm just looking to build a passive four-way. Thanks.
