Ideal crossover points for 2441 and 077

I have 3 basic variations of S8R setups and am fooling around with crossoversOne setup has the Le15a, 375, and 077Another set has the Le15, 2441, and a 077Third is a custom cabinet (7cubic foot - no passive rad)And is running the 15” 2226 (with the mass ring) the 2447j driver, and an 077All three i run crossed over at 500hz, and 6000hz using a Pioneer SF850But I'm wondering if anyone has another other recommendations?Am also considering going back to biamp rathet than tri, and using rebuilt n7000s howver id love to hear any suggestionsThanks in advance

The N7000 was designed for the 075 (2402) driver. The JBL N8000 was designed for adding the 077 (2405) and it is a 12db/octave 8KHz crossover, I personally prefer going with an 18db/oct 10KHz crossover. This is what JBL did in the 4355. My guess is that it would work well with your 375 drivers as well.

The crossover frequency may be affected by the horns you are using with the 375 and 2441s, so you should take that into account as well.

Using the h93 on the 375 and 2447jAnd a larger wood horn on the 2441 - but im having trouble locating specs on that onsWould seem in any case, there is dip in the 500-600-700hz range?

If the 375 has original diaphragm, 8k would be better.

To have a horn that gives you linear output down to 500-600Hz, it needs to be surprisingly huge. For example the Altec 511B, it is not a compact horn by any measure yet it is best above 800Hz.

Agreed, or you can do what JBL did in the 4350 and let the 375 run out naturally and only filter the 077.

Certainly true, people tend to underestimate horn size required vs lower frequency.
