Holy bejuses- beautiful! (The speakers- not the sword).

With so much attention on the LOOK- I wonder how it sounds? Some of the members here swear by the China made tube amps. I dunno yet..

It's only a matter of time before "made in China" will be a good thing. I promise. They have all the machinery and contracts- they just need some development....

What's the link?
There r so many Lansing fans in China[communist area i mean, so called communist:banghead: ]now, maybe he is god for his chinese followers.
It's not very easy for us to get JBL products.Fortunatly,Because of the "honeymoon"
period between Chinese communist party and US gov in 1980's,we can get many old products[heritage],but price is much more higher than amercian markets.
For the god sake,HongKong peple smuggle more and more amercian made products to mainland now, even if the higher price[they got good profits],lansing fans could not control their passion.
Answer the first question,I can tell you that the sound is good to me:bouncy: .
U know that chinese labor is very cheap,50 millon people have no enough food and clothes:banghead: ,hand made products is good choice ;) .
Many friends and I learnt great knowleage from the materials of this website.More and more fans stared their own JBL plans. If i can i'll report some news from them:D .

That 077 shelf is great.
Does this picture from the l65 brochure imply that the size of the baffle on something like this doesn't matter too much?

The actual -6 dB dispersion at 20 kHz is 65° horizontal x 30° vertical:

I think that shelf is fine- I wouldn't worry about deflection (unless you had it sitting too far back from the baffle). What about the factory 2405 brackets? What are those dimensions? I'm not sure I can even hear at 20KHz anymore...let alone detect signal deflection. :(

I like it! Plexi?

I am impressed with the fact that the fascination with things JBL has spread to the far corners of the globe. USA, Europe and even Japan, but mainland China too? Now I know where the LE-175's I sold went off to....

Thanks Northwood for the intriguing pics, especially of the faux Harley, that actually looks pretty cool.

Happyface's answer is great.
I made two types of shelf for Jbl heritage Ultra-High Frequency Transducer. One is for 077 another is for 2402.
Japanese guys like to use wood , I chose plexiglass, the reason is very simple,it's easier to be processed.I made the shelf smaller as possible as I can.:p

:barf: haha!!!
I can tell u that not only there r millions of JBL fans r here China mainland but also so many chinese communist malfeasant ran to Canada and U.S.A. China mainland is far for u ,however,North America is not too far to us.
When I entered the United states of American last year, the National Security officer asked me would u go back to China ,I answered why not,it's my motherland, maybe thoese fochou stowaway cocksuckers and chinese communist corruption shit like to hide in this free country,me ,just a ordinary chinaman without any assuming&ambitious ambition or wild desire, why should I lie to you and put chinese to shame.
Most the developing country people or free and democracy world guys can not differentiate the difference between the depressed peple and autarchy communists.
IF I want to shock the friends here with the fake boom of China ,I just need not to pretend to be a "far corner" JBL fans. It's more convenient for me to paste the pics of delux toys belong to thoese rich communists,Rolls Royce (http://image.baidu.com/i?tn=baiduimage&word=Rolls+Royce&z=0&lm=-1&ct=201326592&cl=2) ,Jaguar (http://image.baidu.com/i?tn=baiduimage&word=Jaguar+car&z=0&lm=-1&ct=201326592&cl=2) ,MAYBACH, Ferrari (http://image.baidu.com/i?tn=baiduimage&word=ferrari&z=0&lm=-1&ct=201326592&cl=2) and of coz the "real" HarleyDavidson.:blah:
