Back in the late 70s or early 80s, i was in pacfic stereo,in houston.listening to jbl l300 and other top end jbl at that time.there was a speaker in that room, it had a cabinet like the l250 maybe larger, three or four way, multi drivers and it had l.e.d lights if memory serves at the bottom of the speaker for power input.they were highend, they struck me at the time as very good.this is vague, was it pradox, can't remember through the fog.:banghead:

i remember BIC venturi's that had led's and notes on the cab with comparitive spl's the greatest number of led's lit compared to a jet airplane.i dont recall these things having any business in any kind of high end room though.

no not bic, they were large floor standers.and if memory is correct they had angled cabinets, something like the l250.i thank they were around only a year or two.late 70s early 80s,but they were in the same price point as the l300 or more.at pacfic stereo.

:) I had some ADS 910's that had the optional, stupid LED's, since they were passive, I thought they would be detrimental to quality; I pulled the drivers later, and was I dissapointed; Got rid of them quick.

I have some KEF 103.2's that have red LED overload indicator lights at the bottom.
These are 8 inch two-way book shelf speakers, but maybe they included that indicator light feature on their larger monitors as well?
