I have read Greg Timber's article on this forum about a JBL 2245H :bouncy:in a 12 cu ft. tuned port enclosure. This looks VERY interesting. I have four 2245H drivers, and I want to make two enclosures that support two each of these drivers. I am thinking of simply making enclosures that are like two of the Timbers' enclosures stacked one on top of each other.

I will be using these enclosures as subs, crossed over at 80Hz, with an equal component Sallen & Key filter topology with a 4th order rolloff. I have two BGW 750D power amps (oldies but goldies) to power the subs.:bouncy:

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

sounds like that is going to be awsome.

I have ONE 2245H, and think _that_ is pretty overkill in a home....

Thanks Mats.
Could you possibly share your cabinet dimensions and construction details (bracing, dampenaing materials etc.) ? Any information would be helpful. I want to build these monsters the right way the first time...:banghead:

I bought 2 cabinets from Niklas Nord so i donīt know so much about them.
But dimensions on them are 1220x800x540mm, they have internal bracing.
It has one 6" port with aeroports. ( conical ends ). They are 2/3 filled with syntetic pillow stuffing. Neutrik spekon kontact. Double baffle in front 25+25mm MDF.

The other 2 as i have build has nearly the same dimensions but i put 2 x 6" ports with aeroports in.
