I just revived from the after party new years eve sleep :p
On new years eve we had our official house opening party. The party was a pure JBL party :rockon1:

In the ground floor we had nice and smooth jazz over the 250 ti's connected to 2 HK870 amps in mono mode. WONDERFUL.

The real thing was going on in the basement. While I was mixing Mojitos, Caipirinhas, Cuba libres and Singapore Sling's a friend of mine was working on the Turntables :hyp: :hyp:
As my 4435 still not finished I connected my 4425 to an Adcom GFA 555II and additionally plugged in my twin 2203H Sub with a 350 Watts plate amp.....

This was ROCKING! :bouncy:

Until 8 AM we had Rock, Disco, House and finally perfect chillout music.

Here is the final party setup I did. PUNCHY :D
The peak around 150Hz is room made. The falling treble is because the speakers are on the floor. The higher bass output was desired.

....and finally perfect chillout music.Nice one, Guido!!

We had an early gig at the pup, and it was monster! SRO. At one point the power went out on the coast, and the audience sang the second verse acapella. Then power on, rack on, QSC amps on, opened-up the DSP, and we rocked another hour. Killer...

We then had a closer, Year End Party here at home, after. At our start, I slipped-in Natalie Merchants rockin' cover of "Sympathy for the Devil" (Radio Sampler CD - hard to find), and my wifey cranked the 4345's to about the loudest they've been. This place was rockin'. We continued far past Year-End.

But, the most interesting bit was our "chillout music". I opted for Dave Grusin's "Migration", and it on the 4345's brought everyone to a stunned silence. JBL knew what they were doing when they engineered these badboys. Whoa... Thanks, GT and team! :bouncy:

What did you play?

What did you play?

First was old rock: AC/DC, Van Halen, Iron Maiden etc.

Followed by a loooong U2 round.

Then late 70s and 80s disco most of it black music.

Then Chicago and London House beats.

Finally and laaaate: The typical Ibiza chillout tunes. Highlite was the new RELAX Album from Blank & Jones. Outstanding music, outstanding recording. Electronic though :o:

indeed... Farrell did a cover of "Afternoon Delight"... go rent
Anchorman to punish yourself for not knowing :D

only don't like 4313's that someone on another coast bumbles into
and gets for next to free... (green monster)... I'd really like to hear
how they compare to L96's with the 066 and tweaked xover.

Already been started (https://bose.informative.com/boseIE/portal/home), and, sheesh! you guys couldn't even keep the Edirol thread alive. :banghead:

Edit: BTW my New Years Eve included champagne, raspberry schnapps, sambuca, Long Island iced teas, some rum and Coke all fueling karaoke fever with the entire Performance Series in Stereo 7 mode pushed by a few thousand Watts of "clean power." Yeah, baby, that's seven PT800s, a PC600, and three PS1400s with MY VOICE churning out Deep Purple's Hush and I Only Want to Say from JC Superstar, plus many others I can't remember. 1969 ended with a BANG!

When are you guys gonna learn how to party? :band:
