Twas the night before Christmas and all thur the house my JBL's where pounding the house.
The components where hung from the chimney with care in hopes of the JBL guru's would soon be their.
All of a sudden their was such a racket got off the couch to see what had happened. 4 new reconed 2235 woofers thats what had happened.

I'm talking about your W15GTI of course. Most of the people in the forums just have no real idea what that beauty is capable of. People just don't appreciate how the car audio division has taken the lead in its market segment and how the car audio gear is capable of crushing so much of our vaunted pro and consumer gear. Not to mention it's TOUGH and performs in environments that'd destroy some of our pansy gear. Put a couple of those with an A6000GTI, put 'em in your living room, and begin the demolition!

Yes, you are right in some instances. Just launched 4- 2235 in my L300's out
of the magnetic gap. Sitting on the top plate now. I think Santa made me do it! Hope I can lift them back in:biting:

Yeah, even thought JBL is conservative The amps at over 1K per pair are setting now on the top plate. What do you think some chopsticks under the cone to lift and try to set it back in.

I'd try to get them back in by lifting the cone as little as possible and very carefully.

Thanks though, the damage is done. Coils are not comepleatly round no more. Hit the top plate and put small fold in back of former. Mrs. Santa not happy but
she has nice Xmas so forgiving as she was also their. Genesis Seconds Out Dics2 Cinema Show into Dance on a Volcano. SPL125 at 12ft +/- 1 ft. I do not think the amps clipped at over 1K as the 20 amp breaker per amp did not trip and no distortion but just a pop! How sweet is was till that:barf: Have replaced

Bummer. Now you found out first hand why JBL always recommended 30 Hz high pass filters for those beasts in high power applications. I've killed a few 2235H's myself.

No. These were about 3 years old. Inside of a Eagle 7A and these are small comparied to the Krells. Pushing lots of current and not in 5.1. Measurement with Audio Control 3050A:blink:
