cleaning of audio pots

I turned on my old technics after a few hours dry time 4.00am not to loud
I just used ordinary wd-40 and the results were amazing.
Squirting a small amount in the top of the pot while turning the knob in question

no scratching at all :D
It`s virtually turned it into a brand new amp!

You might consider Caig Laboratories De-oxit. You'll find it's a favorite among the tinkerers, especially on Audiokarma (hope it's back up) and I've had good experiences with it.
