Hi, I searched but couldn't find any info on this topic.
Is there any listing of the interchangability of compression drivers and diaphragms? Can I build a 2420/LE85 from something else + the right diaphragm, etc. Or please point me in the right direction.
Regards,
Bart

Yes
An Le-85,2425,2425S,2426 will take a 2421 aluminum diaphram. I believe the phenolics version will as well but double check if they have the silver plated pole piece. Phenolics are 2460, 2461?? 2470??

Can I build a 2420/LE85 from something else + the right diaphragm, etc.The original 2420/LE85 diaphragm is NLA. The replacement diamond-surround aluminum diaphragms are $244 each list. :(
We'll be trying the 275nd aquaplas-dusted titanium here in the next couple of weeks and reporting the results....

The 2470 does have the silver ring on the pole piece.
