I'am confused.??
I have bin looking at the specifications on a Krell 700cx Power Amp.
one thing i don't understand. The power consumption is set at 6000w.
Here in Denmark we work with 230volt and 10amp.
That gives me 2300w.
that gives me a lack on 3700w.
Or am i missing somthing.??
Hope someone can help.

Well my guess is that is at worst case load max power dissipation. Kind of incredible though 6000W!!??? Looks like you need a 25A line! I doubt asside from an occasional short durration peak you would ever draw that much power from you wall. Even that seems like a stretch. Must be all those watts at 2 ohms.

I think that amp is sustained bias plateu. Class A 4 steps. You better dam well have a dedicated 20 amp 2 phase line when she kicks into 3rd or 4th step. On my Ksa 300S when she kicked into 4th stage the lights dim and dont bighten back up until she goes out of 4. No to mention enough heat to warm the heart. ENJOY THAT AMP.
