122A's

I just picked up a pair of 122A's, serials 30853 & 30820 They need new surrounds. I just thought of something though which is not so obvious, (at least to me). Are the cones original or correct? I have no idea, but here is what little info I can see: paper dustcaps, and on the back of both cones, "52290" At least the numbers are the same.

Now the question is, surrounds. Is it possible to put the original ones on? If so, from JBL or from a authorized distributor?

JBL does not supply surrounds. You'll have to use "Aftermarket" substitues. :(

For what it's worth mine has the same number. Grey on both sides?? That's the version with the mass ring. I have one of each. The other version has a white backed cone. For new surround do a search for Rick Cobb in Tampa. He has great kits that fit like a glove.
