Audio Research Amps?

Anyone have any experience with amps from Audio Research? I have a line on an Audio Research D-120 and Im told they are good!

Audio Research has made many wonderful amps, both tube and solid state. Their later solid state amps are well regarded, but the D120 is from 1980 and not necessarily a high point.
