Nope - that's not the same. I believe the one with the Sub1500 is the Ultima SUB-15/LE or something. I've got all the info on it somewhere - give me some time to look it up, unless someone has more info sooner. A search will also turn up tons of info.

Is where you can get most of the info.

20Hz and up + or - 0.5dB!

They also still have the info on the original Ultima Sub15/LE1 that used the JBL Sub1500 speaker: http://www.revelspeakers.com/products/product-overview.asp?ID=24

The manual is also available there for the Sub15/LE1: http://www.revelspeakers.com/products/download-details.asp?ID=24&FileID=8

Here's a drawing from the manual. If you're familiar with the Sub1500 you can tell the speaker depicted is clearly the Sub1500.

Is that just a brace behind the woofer or does is make up a part of the tuning of the box ?

What's the transducer in this beast?Somewhere I saw a photo of the Ultima Sub 30 with the grille removed, but I can't find it now. As I recall, it has an "inverted dome" instead of a standard cone.

Here's a cross-section view of the system - you can easily see the difference between this system and the original Sub15 with the JBL Sub1500. Note the use of a passive radiator on the bottom.

Great! I wondered where the passive was deployed. No wonder I couldn't see it. :bouncy:

Here's a hyper-happy review.

http://www.stereophile.com/loudspeakerreviews/1104revel/

It briefly touches on the SUB15 heritage, then moves on.
