Hi,

I need to know how different the LE05-2 is to the LE5-10, aside from the Alnico magnet of course. I am trying to have a crossover made using an LE5-2 with a 2204H woofer and a 077 tweeter. The person making the crossover, Solen Inc., has files and measurements for the LE5-10 only. Would it be safe to design the crossover using the available measurements or are the two drivers too different. Thanks in advance.

Andrew

These are the Theile-Small parameters for an LE5-2. Ideally the unit should be housed in a sealed subenclosure of 80Cu in.
Fs = 211.1 Hz
Qms = 3

Vas = 0.0312 cu.ft

Cms = 0.0284 in/lb

Mms = 0.123 oz

Rms = 3.416 lb/s

Xmax = 0.06 in

Xmech = 0.09 in

P-Dia = 3.5 in

Sd = 9.6 sq.in

P-Vd = 0.000333 cu.ft

Qes = 0.65

Re = 6.1 ohms

Le = 0.3 mH

Z = 8 ohms

BL = 1.484 lb/A

Pe = 25 watts

Qts = 0.53
