I noticed there are two variants of the VOTT A7, differing in their crossover freq, 500 Hz and 800 Hz. What I want to find out is which is a later model and which is the better model? How does the sound differ?
Thanks

I think the difference is the 500hz model used the 511 horn and the 800hz model used the smaller 811 horn.

Thanks John,
do you know which one sounds better? I try to do a search at the library but could not figure out which is the later model.
Thanks

500hz is a theater xover point. If your using your system for music playback 800hz is a more musical sound! There were two different horns as well, as stated above.

Thanks Scott.
Does anybody knows the exact distance from the front edge of the 828 cabinet to the straight edge of the 511B horn?
Thanks.

Hey, this thread isn't off-topic... it's specifically about a Lansing product.
Have the moderators thought about moving this thread to "Technical Help"? I know, it's weird to think about... and REALLY RARE to move a thread OUT of the off-topic area... but it might get more of the attention it deserves, if it were in the other area...
Regards,
Gordon.
