I have 2427J's from the tent sale that I plan to use with 2206H's for surround in my HT. My question is - can I satisfactorily use a crossover of 800 Hz (3110A)? Since the data presented in the JBL spec sheet says that crossover is OK at 800 Hz, I assume it will be fine. I plan to use the 2311 horn and either L94 or the slant plate lens (don't remember the slant lens model).
I see that the 2427 falls off rapidly above 5000 Hz when used with a 2380 CD horn. I may have to use the HF boost switch if this is also true of the horn/lens combo I propose.
I will use 2 cu. ft. enclosures for the single 2206 in each surround. I can experiment with this since I am almost finished constructing my above RPTV center boxes (two separate boxes on each side of the 2440/horn-lens) and can use these to gather data.
