I picked up a 2402 to upgrade my extremely early (D123 S/n 511) C38 and it works, but the output is extremely low. It measures about 6.5 ohms. I took it apart and all looked good, I swapped in a different diaphragm from another tweeter from another speaker that works fine and the output remains low. The gap is clean. I'm stumped. Could the magnet have lost its mojo?

If it's an Alnico magnet that's certainly a possibility

Your 6.5 ohms is in the factory range: min 5.7 max 6.7 ohms. So that aspect is ok.

I went ahead put the speaker together with a DIY N2400 and it sounds OK with the L-Pad maxed out some treble boost so I guess I'll just live with it.
