Hallo

I have long been looking for a good pair of JBL 2235H

but now I am in the situation that I stumbled on a pair of JBL 2216ND at the same price that I have to give for a good pair of 2235H.

So which of these two drivers will be the best buy?

At this moment I mostly keen on JBL 2216ND, but maybe there's something I have not taken into account.

so I hope you will give your opinion on the matter

Regardless of price I would use the 2216ND in any application where we previously would have used the 2235H. The 2216ND-1 is the better choice in a purely passive design where you don’t have the ability to goose the bottom a bit, but you will still be better off with the 2216ND instead of the 2235H.

Agree with Widget. I have been using the 2216Nd in place of the 2235's in my 4333's. Never looked back. The 30 Hz is down though. Lower midrange matches with the 2420 seamlessly. I believe the M-2 uses a six Db boost at 30 Hz with the 2216Nd. My ears say the 2216 is one of the best woofers I have ever heard.

Hallo

sorry for the late replay.

Thanks for the replies :D

Cant get the 2016ND-1 other place than speaker exchange for around 699$ each + shipping and vat so that is too expensive for me, and way over the price of a pair of 2235

So my only options are to get the 2216ND and use the passive filter option until I maybe get some MINI DSP or Hypex up and running. :D

But thanks again for the replays, always nice to get an opinion from some who have tried it out :D
