The JBL Consumer Tech Sheet Links on the LH site have been dead for a while. Is there a problem or have the links changed?

H/K changed the links and for a while we had a workaround that seemed to work. For quite some time I've been unable to access anything worthwhile. Is it possible to recreate them from what members have downloaded? I doubt Samsung would care. If they had any intention protecting or preserving them they'd have already figured out a way to monetize them. :dont-know:

It's a shame that other sites have better coverage of JBL manuals and specs than this one. Wasn't always the case.

Thanks BMWCCA for the updated/current status on JBL consumer tech sheets links. Very sad to read the loss of a great source of information on legacy/vintage JBL speakers. Would you care to share the other sites you know pertaining to JBL manuals/tech specs on JBL vintage speakers?

Would you care to share the other sites you know pertaining to JBL manuals/tech specs on JBL vintage speakers?Start with a Google search by model number and then you'll find links like this one which may require a free registration:

Most of those links are still active ( once a person adds an s onto the end of the beginning http prefix ).

The "s" simply makes the link secure ( and therefore work as published ) .

Yes - http://www.audioheritage.org/vbulletin/showthread.php?10661-JBL-Consumer-Tech-Sheet-Links

I went to the Tech Sheets and tried the first link for the 800 Array model
The link there was an old http link, but adding an S to make it https (secure) and it worked fine!

https://manuals.harman.com/JBL/HOM/Technical%20Sheet/800%20Array%20ts.pdf

Same thing with the link for the L200B Studio Master Tech sheet

Instead of
http://manuals.harman.com/JBL/HOM/Technical%20Sheet/L200B%20ts.pdf
make it https and it works fine

That's great to know.
So the instruction on that page for how to modify the links is incorrect, right? Is it possible to have that updated by someone with access? I realize correcting each link is a monumental job for volunteers but perhaps just a note with directions to "add an S" would help. Thanks!

Yeah I tried earlier and for some reason it was not consistent with all the links. Will get back to it and update the post.

Rob :)

I tried every model I own that was listed, including obscure stuff like S70 Alpha III and ProIII Plus, and they all worked perfectly by adding the "S". Makes me feel so much better now. Thanks again. (I'll probably still download everything this time, just because . . .)

Who knew… someone at Harman seems to care… I just tried them and you are right, working again.
