Does anyone know of a repair shop in or near North Carolina that does similar work to Orange County Speaker in California? I am in need of new foam and spiders on the woofers of a pair L50s?
Thanks
Paul

Solved.

For those interested in the future, here is the info for a long time repair shop.

Hi Paul,

We can repair them for you. If they need the foam done, it would be $75 each or $110 each for a complete recone, plus return shipping.

If you want to do the repairs yourself, we do have the kits available here, pre-assembled: https://reconingspeakers.com/products-page/jbl-125a-127a-127h-pre-assembled-aftermarket-recone-kit/
Or unassembled: https://reconingspeakers.com/products-page/jbl-125a-127a-aftermarket-diy-recone-kit/

Or refoam kit: https://reconingspeakers.com/products-page/10-jbl-125-refoam-kit-angle-rfk10-jbl125/

Kind Regards,

Seems like GordonW's shop near Atlanta might be a closer offering, plus,
he's apparently quite the pro with JBL drivers.

Paul,

I thought you were located in California? Did you move east recently or did I just have that wrong?

Hey Jim,
Yes, my family and I moved out of CA in Feb. We’re loving the new adventure.

Okay, great! Maybe we'll get a chance to meet up sometime now that you're a little closer. I think you started a thread last year about a new house build with a dedicated listening room for the M2s/Sub 18s? How'd everything turn out?

Yes it would be great to connect. My neighbors are from MD. The house is coming along as is the listening room. We have the roofers there today and dry wall goes in week after next. I’ll go back to that thread and give it a freshening up with some details of what we’re building.
thanks
Paul

No doubt! John's done all my re-cone work and more. He's been of invaluable help with my projects. Plus, he's just a joy to be around, :)
