I am going to audition a pair of 1973 L200B speakers this weekend . The spec sheet does not list the Frequency Response ,... which is odd . Anyone , anyone want to take a guess + or - 3 db ?
I am a little concerned that my 70 year old ears might require a 3 way. I currently listen to either L36 or 4312A with a Crown PS200 .

In the past JBL was always rather vague about their specs and often created their own standards of measurement to make direct comparisons between their products and their competitors’ products difficult or impossible. Luckily JBL Pro was more forthcoming. Here is the data sheet for the 4331A which is very similar to the L200B.

All that said, specs are only a starting point and really don’t tell you as much as most people think. Also be aware that many if not most of these vintage systems no longer perform exactly as they did when new.

Let us know what you think after your audition.

They passed the audition !!
While listening at the sellers place he was hooked up to a
Yorkville poweramp and Yamaha CR800 for a preamp . They
sounded rather harsh in the high mids . But I took the amp into consideration
and took the gamble . Score !! In my office I use a Crown PSL2 and PS200 .
The difference in sound quality is astounding .

I am going to add a couple of outboard " JBL Bullet Packs " to sit on top .
