I am considering to buy a pair of TAD 1601 bass drivers which has been stored in it's boxes for a long time without plastic, so the styrofoam has attached to the surround. Has anyone experienced this before and know if I should be able to remove the styrofoam without damaging the surround in any way? The seller won't take the risk to remove it before selling, so I assume the styrofoam actually sticks pretty good to the surround.
