Restoring JBL 4435s

Hi, everyone.
I was thinking of painting the 2344 horns on my 4435's gloss black because there are some marks on them. Could the paint effect the sound in any way?

Paint away. The color, gloss level, or paint type will have no effect on the sound quality.
Semi-matte black is the original color, but you can gloss them up if you like.
