4465b subwofer amplifier

Hey there!
In my little cinema room i have
A couple of 4412 as main / front speakers,
drived by a carver amplifier and a couple of 4645B subwoofer actually drived by a couple of Mackie modules.
As control unit / pre amp I have an Onkyo, center / rears Dynaudio and Monito Audio.
Recently added a couple of RCF Mytho 2 as alternative main.

I would like to update the amp for the sub: any suggestion, please? I would stay around 400w rms and i'm not so attracted by D class.

What Mackie amps are you using now?
400 watts each for those is kind of under powered for those subs, unless your not clipping the amps you
have now and the system is providing all the output you need.

Does you Onkyo pre amp provide the proper high pass and low pass filtering / crossover
for the subwoofer?
