What touch-up stain/paint does everyone use for touching up our Black Ash Veneer finish our our L-Series. I want to touch-up a couple of small scuff marks that are between 1/4"-1/2 in length.

I'm cheap, so on the departed L7's , black shoe polish was my choice.
Seemed to work OK.
Not worth buying paint for such small touchups.

Rustoleum universal Satin Black spray paint is a very good match.

My L-series cabinets all have a bit more shine than that, and I have 6-pair. I've never touched them up but often wondered if we were dealing with a latex stain or oil-based. I do believe it is a stain, rather than paint.
I, too, have used black shoe polish. Personally I'm a Kiwi guy.

A have a few sets of all, some have gloss to semi-gloss shine, some are a flat black. I will try all suggested ideas in some test areas underneath to see what matches for each application.
