i'm looking for the specs on these two speakers as i've read on another forum that they are either: exactly the same or the L100 is colorated for the consumer market.

so not sure on this site where to find the specs for each.

happy holidays!

thanks,
mikeB

Welcome to the discussion forum and LHS.

The 4311 and L100 each had a long production run with several versions. They were sonically identical with predominantly cosmetic changes, though there were subtle changes over the years. Check this out, probably more than you wanted to know:

http://www.lansingheritage.org/html/jbl/specs/home-speakers/1973-l100.htm

http://www.lansingheritage.org/html/jbl/specs/pro-speakers/1973-4311.htm

http://www.lansingheritage.org/html/jbl/specs/pro-speakers/1978-4311.htm

When comparing specifications, compare them carefully as JBL used different standards over the years as well.
