Happy new year to everyone !

I am investigating the 075 uses and its crossovers....

my first question is: Is it correct to say that this tweeter has been used with only three crossovers , namely the N7000 which cut it at 7500 Hz, the N2400 which cut it at 5000 Hz and the N2600 which cut it at 10kHz ?

my second is on the shematic of the N2600 what is the "S2 ", please ?

I always thought N2400 was 2400 Hz, N2600 was 2600 Hz, and N7000 was 7000 Hz? They didn't cut it at those frequencies, they brought it in. They were high pass filters.

Hi,

The switches do this ( on the N2600 );

(A) ( on the Low Pass ) alternates between 1.4mH or 0.7mH .

(B) ( on the High Pass ) alternates between 3uF or 6uF .

allowing a mix of driver impedances

(a) also switches in/out the 2nd lpf cap to stay in sync with the inductor :) (keeping the 12dB/oct section crossover frequency the same for the alternate nominal driver impedance)

Good Point !

That 8 ohm Variable Lpad ( once put into action ) moves the HF load impedance towards 8 ohm pretty quickly ( totally over-riding what the actual HF switch says > IOW , yet one more example of JBLs goofy labelling schemes ).

i didn't watch the crossover box just the schematics ....
but the box seems to say it s a switch between 16 and 32 ohms ... it is refering to the amp output isn't it ?

If you actually look at the crossover, you will find that the two switches are labled to be able to switch between a 16 and 32 ohm load.
