I was fortunate to inherit the above shown JBL Paragon from my grandfather. Paragon Type C-44

I recently had it repaired to great working order. I am in need of assistance from you all as to what type of amp, receiver, etc. I should look for. We love playing old vinyl and have a Pioneer PL-530 that is also in great working order. I don't want to purchase the most expensive components, but I do want to obtain what will be best for the paragon. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Perhaps a Mcintosh 2x05 type amplifier and an accompanying pre would suit the mood/period (?)

Modern gear is certainly suitable as well, but somehow wouldn't feel right :)
