Altec 604 rebuild

Hello

Im new to this forum and this is my first post. Never had a chance of having any vintage audio stuff up until recently. Last year I got a nice set of Celestion Ditton 551 speakers with Luxman M02/C02 combo. And this get me hooked into it. Just recently I scored(300 cad) this set of speakers 604 e with n1500 xo. It was a kit where someone built a set of the boxes. These were in terrible condition so I have removed drivers and xo and scrapped the boxes. One of the xo has potentiometer broken, but just for the testing i have bridged it and all seems to work as intended.
Next step will be to choose cabinet design and maybe a newer xo, so I'm hoping you guys can help me with that. All comments hugely appreciated.

Do you visit the Southwestern US area? This member sold these drivers, but may still have the cabinets.

There is no such thing as a Stonehenge V. It was never an ALTEC product. The name of that truly horrid sounding cabinet was concocted by Jim Dickenson of Iconic Manufacturing. He not make the cabinet, nor he did come up with the dimensions.

The first proof of concept pair were made of solid red oak planks that were used to construct some storage shelves for the Navel Air Station on Whidbey Island Washington.

There were never any official plans, but if any exist they are from reverse engineering the first pair made. If you must know, the cabinet is approximately 9 cubic feet, like the 620. Make the dimensions to your liking.

This is the first pair of "Stonehenge V" cabinets, along with a proof of concept cabinet loaded with a 12" small format CoAx with the Mantaray horn that preceded the 212-8A, and a pair of Stonehenge III loaded with the 604E that belong to the chap who owns the property where this photo was taken.

BTW - There is no such thing as a 704-8A. That was another name concocted by Jim Dickenson. The 704 was nothing but a 604-8H II with a new label. Absolutely no modifications were done to the 604 to make the 704. You will notice the last update on the Iconic website is 2005. It's safe to say the company has folded.
