I have 3 of these cabinets. Model CM50's. Going to put components in them. Would you make them original with 2215 woofers or the 2235 or 2234's. This was going to be used before in a HT arrangement. Not no more thou. I have a pair of 4333's in grey with the same cabinet style. These will have installed H92 or 2312 with LX80A or LX13A and N8000's. I do not remember the sound qualities of the 2234's. I do like to save some of the old legacy from being burned. Thanks for your reply:)

If you check the library the Jbl enclosure guide gives recommendations of what works with what?

The 2234 is a 2235 cone kit without the mass ring. About 3 dB more sensitive and different TL specs.
The 2234 has noticeably better mid range definition

One of our other members recently had to pick between the 2234 and the 2235 and went the 2234 route and is quite happy.

I had a pair of 2235s and a pair of 2234s - the 2234s were in the 4341s I got from PA and got the 2235s from Chas in CA -
tried both in the L200 custom speakers I was building and settled on the 2234s in those cabinets -
great mids even in the 3 ways they became!

Thank you Heather and Ian for your reply. How would the 2215/LE15A compare to the 2234H. I know the CM 50 enclosures used the 2215/LE15A's. Do you think the 2234H is an improvement over the 2215/LE15A's. These will be sold with the pair of 4333A's for someones HT. Thanks:)

An interesting discussion here

http://www.audioheritage.org/vbulletin/showthread.php?3016-Le15A-how-low-does-yours-go

Objectively the LE15A is closer to the 2234 in bass response with the Bassbox software’s extended bass tuning but the 2334 has significantly more output than the LE15A at port tuning frequency

The 2235 is able be tuned in more compact enclosures and extend lower in bass. It also has lower efficiency.
