For home theater users, a tidbit or two. One might think systems with classic gear for amplification would have no use for this, but I have a Sony Blu-ray player and a Sony TV. They "talk" to each other and this allows me to use either remote. I don't use the TV remote when I am feeding it with the Blu-ray player.
