Finishing cabinet question

Um.
So I've mulled an idea trying to recuperate from the thought of not enjoying wood veneer
the same way I do w/ real wood
in finishing a cabinet can I use a 3/8 thick piece of
solid lumber over a paper a raw veneer. Just wanted to ask before
i began to look for fitments.

I don't know you at all , all I know is that you owe me a miniscule amount and you have been avoiding sending it to me for months. I told you this was going to happen, stick it in the mail and I will stop letting everybody know that you are a deadbeat.

Ahh. I like it ( veneer ) if applied where it resembles
denser wood when it's to me applied in a fashion to just
cover lesser quality under substrate it maybe at time look
undercared for. In vintage jbl cases veneer seems fine the walnut
has held up.
Today's available products to me don't seem as nice.
id really like original cabs especially when veneer comes
into question.
