Biggest difference between the two is dispersion pattern I believe. Potatoe masher conical dispersion pattern may be more amenable to sound reinforcement use than residential hifi use.

Biggest difference between the two is dispersion pattern I believe. Potatoe masher conical dispersion pattern may be more amenable to sound reinforcement use than residential hifi use.In my opinion the potato mashers have a subjectively duller sound and possibly a little honkier.
