Hi thanks.
So far im still building my system just vintage gear. 4315s up front & L212 rear, phantom center so far.
I was just looking at the system and thought I may have wanted an independent tone control for the rear channel.
Is this reasonable. I understand the attenuation on L212s, could be used as a bias from the preamp, im using the kenwood ka7300 as an amp only front stage. The sansui was is a preamp for the front channel and an amp for the rear...

Would the rear channel benefit from independent tone control separate from the front channel? Another preamp? Maybe even another kenwood ka7300...

Id like to use a crown eq2, would I need 2 front and rear?
Any help would be appreciated.

If it were me, I would put a proper center channel speaker in first. That is assuming this is 5.1 surround system ?

Yes hi dave. What would your suggestions be for using a center 2105 & uhf or 045/066 a single 5" dual?
how would I go about adjusting rear tone with one preamp? Two eq's? Does the eq do the job of tone control on the preamp. The eq2 is a graphic & parametric, but im not sure if takes the place of tone control. Would I set the preamp bias to 0, using the eq and speaker attenuation. Few questions for ya.

My new tv is a smart tv with built in surround sound. I do not know if 5.1 is supported and I do not own a sub.

Iam now looking for a surround processor, maybe a carver dlp-33 or a adcom gsp 560/ gtp 600.
Really I need that for the center channel connection.

If you don't own a sub what is the LFE channel going to do ? What is it that you eventually want to achieve ?

You cant ask a question with a question I was using a phantom setup prior.
Im just wondering at the moment how to separate front & back channels
