Hello,

I have build the 3155 equivalent network and I´m not shure how to connect the drivers.
Do I have to connect all 3 drivers normal or one reverse as this is mainly a 12db crossover?

2405 positive
2441 negative ?
2202 positive

Thanks a lot,
Olaf

Hi Olaf,

On JBL 3155 network, there is no inversion of any of the drivers.

It's hard to make out, but the dot on each of the drivers is a + symbol, and the dot in the "generator wave" symbol on the inputs is also a + symbol.

Hi JeffW,

As the sound delay from the drivers differs too, I think the best solution would be to do a measurements when the network become ready.
It is not too complicate to exchange the wires positions.

Thanks both of you!!

I´ll connect it with all drivers positive, but I will try midrange in reverse as well.

Hi
I would like to come back on this 3d because after a while I'm listening mine 4355 there is something that makes me some doubt.

the Lpad, from a calculation point of view...

4.1//18ohm for the 2441 seems not correct for a 16ohm driver
4,3//36ohm for the 2405 seems not correct for a 8ohm driver

If I'm looking the other version

6//26ohm for the 2441 and 2//24ohm fot the 2405 are correct for the 16 and 8ohm impedance acting as an L-pad

the equivalent seems introducing impedance errors

any experience? any trials?

Hi berga12,

it is very difficult to say what is CD driver( loaded with the horn) numerical impedance value, look at some measurements results,
so sometime 12 Ohms for the 16 R drivers is used (244x) and 10 R for 2405.
