I have a pair of E2 cabinets from Hornslet, but no MF horns. I had two alternative sources for getting the horns made, but gets no answers from either of them any more so probably I need to find an new alternative :(
That's why I started thinking about trying with a M2 horn instead, could this work if there's space and I find a way for it to look OK?

BTW: How large is the M2 horn compared to PTH-1010? I have a PTH-1010 horn so I could try how it will fit..

Brilliant! It's going to require some major woodworking skills, but I say go for it!
Hi baldrick
Nice project.
For best result you should vertically align the horn with the "full range" woofer, like in the 4435.
The horn is 448mm x 394mm

Putting the horn other Places in center would probably be next to impossible because of the cabinet

Hi baldrick,
From the aesthetic point of view, (in my opinion) , can not be made comparison between H66k horn and M2 horn.

, for help.
From technical point, if using 3-way active (neglecting 045 driver) using 476Be driver with M2 horn can be destructive for the driver as M2-horn lower frequency loading is far from the H66k horn loading, but using D2430K is another story,
or some 2450sl/51 with Be(Trex) diaphragm, but UHF driver would be well-come.
For the bass section , if you have 150x drivers OK, but may be You can make a combination such as 2234/35 as helper bass and 2216Nd as mid-bass
