I bought these SELA active monitors last week:

Woofer is Altec 3127 and compression driver is 902-8B (7/8 inch exit) with Altec Manta-Ray horns.
There is a stereo amplifier at the bottom of each box, so the woofer and horn has separate channels. Woofer is not filtered. Horn is probably filtered 12 db/octave with no damping. The box is only lined with thin material.
They sound surprisningly well, but there is too much treble.
I have heard that these monitors where evaluated by Swedish Radio in the late seventies, but the Yamaha NS1000 was chosen.
I got four 3127 altogether, so my plan is to make MTM boxes using the Altecs for mid bass, and something more sustantional below. I will probably not use the Manta-Ray horns.
