I will be possibly be using external crossover networks for a pair of 4355's. Any one have any idea as to displacement or just the size that these 3155 networks were. I remember that the network was mounted in a metal enclosure.
Thanks,

mk

hi Mike,
I believe the 3155 was just a a PCB attached like mine. The 4350's where in a metal box attached to the bottom. The PCB were smaller because the components were smaller than the inductors you will use.
if you google JBL 3155, i think you can find a pic of it somewere. Maybe someone has the original pic as well.
Cheers.

if I find it, I'll send it you you.

The older designs like the 4340/4341/4343/4350 had their networks in a metal box. These were big and heavy.
The stock 3155 actually looks smaller than the 3143.

Also, just FYI: the equivalent 3155 will be a lot bigger than a stock one if you use MKP caps and good coils.

If you want to build those Giskard-designed 3155's, they fit nicely in a "2u case.
You have enough room for charge coupling and bigger caps if you feel the urge to upgrade.

I also used speakon connectors, easy as a pie to connect.
