Hi friends,

What kind of phono amps do you use phono preamp, if any, when you play records?
I know there are some affordable, some expensive high-end phono preamps either for MM or MC, or both MM/MC.
I hear Parasound Zphono is good, but I currenly keep an eye on Rega Fono (MM).
Any idea or recommendation? Thanks for your feedback in advance.

Which turntable, tonearm, cartridge?
What's your preferred kind of music?

If the Shure V15 Type III is your cartridge of choice, then the SME 3009 Series III arm with the SME dampening system is best. The arm and cartridge were designed along side each other between Shure and SME. The Creek OBH-8 or OBH-8 SE are among the many good choices for this setup. I use this same setup with a Thorens TD-126 Mk III, and it works very well. When comparing the vinyl editions to RR tape on a Revox B77, they're virtually identical. The only way to know the difference is the surface noise from the vinyl. Hope this helps. :-)
