Canadian band that had their heyday in the 80's. "On the Loose" was their biggest hit in around 1982. The were considered part Canadian rock contingent that was led by Rush to some degree of international fame. I actually prefer Saga over Rush, which in my opinion is unrivaled for the title of the "World's Most Pretentious Band"

I have a few of Saga's songs as MP3's that I quite like. I never purchased an entire album.

I too saw their concert, here in Gothenburg. They changed their drummer recently. I really loved the old one, Steve Negus, but I thought the new one did a great job. A very good concert! If you like Saga, then You should get their "All Areas"-DVD from Bonn in 2002. Good sound, picture and above all: great music! My favourite albums are: Silent Knight, Worlds apart, Saga and Heads or Tales. Don't miss out on the best drumsolo in the world: Steve Negus plays together with the lead singer Mike Sadler. It's called "A briefcase" and You can find it on the live album: Saga: In transit, and on the DVD I mentioned.

Also, the sound on their old CD's are not so good as in their vinyl's IMO.

Thanks Jakob,

The drummer was ok. Good sound from equipment but Mike Sadler was very loud. Yes, the old LP`s are great.
