Very nice. How does it sound without a tweeter? Do you compensate with EQ?

Are those real Westlake enclosures? I am not familiar with that model. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I also don't remember Westlake painting the 2397 horns. FYI - Even though many folks call it so, the 2397 is not a Smith horn.

That's not a 2397, that's a Westlake horn-note lips are much deeper and asymmetrical.

Congratulations ….. enjoy . Early Westlakes / Eastlakes were built to order specific to customers needs . I wouldn't worry too much about opinions on authenticity . They knew what they were doing …. :)

I am quite familiar with the 2397, as I have built enough of them over the last 38 years, including Smith horns. The Westlake horn was modeled after the 2397, which was the brain child of Bart Locanthi, and it only bears a slight resemblance to the Smith horn.

There are many threads on here re building clones of the 2397 and the Westlake horns. The Westlake is a thing of beauty that caries a price premium over the 2397 with good reason imho..

How is it playing ? Do you modified any parts as crossover, amps, eq to match your room which is probably not a studio inwallr speakers. Love to see recent pics.
Did you finally went for a JMF-audio DAC as me ?
